The China Summer program (camp) is open to high school students age 16 or above, it operates as a summer camp with a broad spectrum of culture activities & trips, a safe & comfort on-campus living and a team of friendly counselors.
With an affordable cost, our program provides good value with quality courses, comfort living and rich experience.
The campus premium dormitory has monitored entrance, linen services and in suite washroom, the setting enables students having a comfortable living during their stay in the program (camp). Each room is also equipped with a telephone so that everyone can easily connect back home.

About financial aid:
Bursaries: we have limited number of bursaries available to students from low income families. This is a part of an effort to supplement students’ funding from other sources, each recipient receives an amount of 300 USD toward the program cost. The application needs to go through the student’s school advisor or counsellor.
Courses & Activities:
The language classes are hosted on a university campus in Shanghai. Our classes are conducted by state qualified teachers with many years experience of teaching Chinese language to international students. The language classes are Monday to Friday 20 lessons a week. They run in the morning from 8:30am-11:50am with each session 45 minutes. Students are separated into different class according to their level of language proficiency.
The cultural lessons are in the afternoon and include: Chinese cultural seminars, martial arts, calligraphy, Chinese painting. We also have language exchange opportunities for students to mingle with local peers.
The trips are in the weekends and some afternoons, they include: some attractions in the city, surrounding cities, such as Hangzhou, etc.
Accommodation:
On Campus Dormitory:
Students can choose to stay on campus dormitory with shared room. This on campus housing offers students with a comfortable living quarters, for mingling with classmates, easy access to facilities, and enjoying the campus life. Students live in double shared premium dormitory. Each room is furnished with two beds, a telephone, a television, an air conditioner, and a bathroom inside.
The building is entrance access controlled, so it is secure. Students are also required to sign the logbook if anyone intends to leave campus alone. Internet access can be provide for a relative small access fee. Laundry room is in the same building, Students can have meals on the campus dining halls, or nearby places. The campus is also close to public transit, with easy access to city center.
Homestay:
The homestay allows students to live with local warm-hearted Chinese families, it is a quick way to improve Chinese and learn the culture.
Our host families are all interviewed and carefully selected, they are very interested in sharing the Chinese culture with international students. Students have their own bedroom. Meals are provided by the host family except lunch.
Usually your host families do no speak fluent English, but most of them can speak and understand basic English.
