Requirements:

Minimum age 14 by the program start date.  Participants are mainly high school and university students.

Our students come from different countries around the world, mainly from USA, Canada, and European countries. It is a great opportunity to make new friends.

* Deadlines:
After deadline applications depend on available space.  If space is offered, we require confirmation of enrolment (documents and deposit) in one week after registration. 
**  Fees:
Air ticket is not included in the program fee, if you need travel agency information please contact us.
Registration fee is included in the total program fee.
Registered students please follow the fee amount and dates in your student information sheet.
***SHBJ:
SHBJ is an extension of Shanghai Summer with a 2-day Beijing trip, one way flight between Beijing-Shanghai is included.

The program fee includes:

     Registration fee;
     Tuition and textbook for all courses;
     Double dormitory on campus (single dorm is possible for a surcharge) or single room homestay ;
     Meals during the stay in the program;
     Airport pickup & drop off;
     Culture activities, trips and tickets;
     Medical insurance;
     Pre-departure program and travel guide;
     24 hour on site assistance (supervision for junior students);
     SHBJ program also include one way flight between Beijing-Shanghai.

About financial aid:

Consortium Agreement: we accept college students' financial aid from their university or college on our program. Please ask your financial aid office about the policy and procedures, often you are required for approval for course credit first.  If approved, please fax or email us a copy of "Consortium Agreement" to sign.

 Travel Plan:

Please note that the international air fare is not included in the program fee.

For all students, we will pick up and drop off at the Shanghai (and Beijing) airport on the scheduled dates.  For SHBJ program, student can arrive at either Beijing or Shanghai. Custom information and airport maps will be sent to you prior to departure. 

We can assist you with booking the air ticket (for travel from North America only). Recent quoted DIRECT air fare from US west coast to Shanghai is from $1424 with tax and fuel surcharge included, the air fare is subject to change.

It is recommended that you compare the air travel between your travel agent and the one we referred to find one that best suit your needs.  The travel agency we referred is dedicated to China traveling, they often have competitive rates and offer different travel options. 

In a situation that you have to arrive or leave few days earlier or later than the schedule dates (subject to a minimal fee for the arrangement and fee for extra days of staying), please contact us and we will try to accommodate your schedule.  In this case, airport pickup, drop off and orientation will be included.
